In some of his heats John John was surfing more like Dane than Dane does... at Sunset. Head to the Vans Triple Crown Website to catch up on whatever you missed.
Sunday, November 27th kicked off stop #2 of the Vans Triple Crown at Sunset Beach. Day 1 had 8 - 12 foot surf and out of control conditions with a lot of the local boys competing. Today, should see improved conditions with some of the pros sneaking into the water. You can watch all the action live at The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing Website.

This one will be running for the next 3 days, with finals on Wednesday. Head to the Reef Hawaiian pro Site to watch the contest live!
2 Movies one night! Join Freedom Surf and the Virginia Beach Surfrider Foundation for the premiers of 2 new surf films this Saturday night (November 5th) at 7PM on the lawn of the Dewitt Cottage (12th St and Atlantic Ave). The event is FREE for all, but we will be taking donations for the Surfrider Foundation (if you got it, give it - if not, no worries). We will also have Clam Chowder (from Tautogs) and BEvERages (from Gordon Biersch) available. Make sure to bring chairs or a blanket, or both, along with all your people - this should be epic. Now the details on the movies:
Be Cool Man is the latest flick from the Captain Fin crew (Tales from the Black Van, You Scratched My Anchor, Rip Shred Tear) and features Tyler Warren, Dane Reynolds, Al Knost, Kassia Meador, Scotty Stopnik and many more.
Come Hell or High Water is the latest film from the Brothers Malloy, specifically Keith. This one is a bodysurfing flick and it has us stupid excited. Featuring Mark Cunningham (tons of Mark), the Malloys, Liz Clarke, Mike Stewart, and more.
This is a night you won't wanna miss, so don't.
