ESSENTIALS

Strip it all down to what really matters. A board, wetsuit when it's cold and boardshorts or swimsuit when it's warm. It's not rocket science, but these essentials are the core of a surf shop and for whatever reason they sometimes get lost. For us It's what we do and who we are . This segment of the site will update you on what we have coming in as well as tuning you into what's going on out there. So, with that said:

8/31/10 BOARDS... I must say that the shop has had the best selection of boards ever ~ over the last week. With alot of diversity in the mix, if you couldn't find a board to fit your trip...a session on the couch may be in order to counsel you. Tyler Surfboards arrived in the shop. If you don't know Tyler's deal ~ here it is in a nutshell (ok maybe not a nutshell): Tyler is one of the most talented craftsmen in the country. He also is one of the best surfers. Tyler makes two boards a week and he does it all by himself. From the first pass of the planer to the polishing. His boards are insane and it's a honor to have a few in the shop as the demand for his work far exceeds the supply. Come check them out... We also had a hit of Dharma's from Bing in here last week (check out the Chris D. Video on the home page) ~ it's very mini simmons-ish but with a bit more versitilty. We have five more showing up on Friday. And then if that isn't crazy enough...we have Firewire's showing up on Friday! Yes "Firewire" is making a debut entrance into the shop. Ok, ok I know what your thinking~didn't we say that we were over boards from the chinaman...? Didn't you expect us to keep supporting craftsman in the good ol' U.S.A.? Well, we do and will continue to buy U.S. product. But Firewire's deal is a bit different. While most innovations that have come out in the last several years are shaped base (which is a good thing!!!), Firewire is driven to innovate through materials. The concept and some of the shapes seem to be totally jiveing with what we've been up to ~ so we're stoked! Not to mention that Taylor Jenson is on the boards and is pushing some new hipro long one from them. Stay tuned! Other then that we're stoked to offer you up the stoke to get in the water and have some fun!!! Come check it out.

8/14/10 MAN STUFF

The Fall season is near and at Freedom Surf ~ Fall Clothing is on the wall!!! With some killer new looks, your sure to be styling' and profiling. Come check it out.... You'll be stoked.
